A unique light shines from Semper Astra's fine jewelry: the light of natural gemstones chosen with the utmost care for their quality and extraordinary colors, enhanced by the skill of the lapidary, who cuts gemstones and shapes their many facets to enhance their brilliance. There's also the light of matte gold, which develops a beautiful patina over time.

Inspired by both antique and classic jewelry, Semper Astra reinvents ancestral fine jewelry with a colorful, contemporary aesthetic, blending organic shapes with surrealist accents. This results in eclectic pieces, designed individually, like treasures to be discovered and picked according to one's moods and desires, from the family jewelry box.

Timeless and meticulously crafted, each piece emphasizes movement and is designed to last, evolve, and be reimagined over the years. Whether stacked or worn in different ways, these pieces offer endless possibilities.

Semper Astra favors made-to-order jewelry and a mindful, small-scale production process. We work with limited stocks, making each model more exclusive.

We use recycled gold and personally select each natural gemstone, always seeking quality and the most intense or unique colors. Diamonds, which are respectful of the Kimberley process, come from legitimate sources and are conflict-free.

Whether unique pieces, custom creations, personalized pieces, or small series, all our jewelry is designed in Paris and crafted according to its specific needs in one of our three partners' workshops, respectively located in Paris (France), Porto (Portugal) and Valenza (Italy). A choice that combines and showcases the excellence of craftsmanship in fine jewelry.

A selection of pieces from the collection is also offered in sterling silver (925) and vermeil.

Our silver pieces are rhodium-plated. This process consists of depositing, through electrolysis, a fine layer of rhodium onto sterling silver. A noble and highly durable metal, commonly used in jewelry, rhodium protects silver from natural oxidation and gives it a lasting shine.

Our vermeil pieces are crafted from sterling silver, coated with a fine 5-micron layer of 18ct gold applied through electroplating. This process gives the jewel the warmth and radiance of gold, while protecting the silver and ensuring a lasting finish.

It took a pleated golden heart lost in the ocean, an old ring gifted by her grandmother and never forgotten, for the dream of creating fine jewelry to blossom in Audrey Jean-Baptiste's mind. After a career as an international lawyer, it was upon her return from three years spent in Brazil, while already designing her own jewelry, that the stars aligned.

“It was in Brazil that I bought my first gemstone, an emerald. I was mesmerized by its intense color and the inner world it holds, known as the ‘garden’. Every inclusion seemed to open the door to a new space, a new dimension. It was all these imperfections that made it perfect and captivating, like a new confirmation that beauty doesn't always lie where we expect it to”.

Enrolled in evening classes at Paris' École Boulle, specialized in applied arts, Audrey learned to work with wax “to better understand volumes” and metal “to master technical constraints”.

In 2024, Audrey Jean-Baptiste founded Semper Astra with the desire to offer joyful, luminous, and versatile jewelry - “pieces for life, that evolve and transform with us”.
